Leonard Neufeldt, retired literary and cultural historian in New England studies, was born and raised in Yarrow, British Columbia,
a hamlet of refugees from the Soviet Union at that time. He and his wife, Mera, have retired to Gig Harbor, Washington. Neufeldt
is the author, editor or co-editor of 20 books, ten of which are volumes of his poetry. Both his scholarly works and his poetry
have received a number of awards. His writings have been published in Canada, the USA, Europe, the Far East and India.
