Larry Nightingale was raised in Yarrow, B.C. and is now a Vancouver resident. He works in the library / research field.
Acknowledging a debt to the vital hum of his 1950s-era Mennonite community's hymns and prayers, the rattle of the '60s late night rock 'n' roll radio poets,
and the metaphysics of Blake, Muir, Eliot et al., he pays attention to the rhythm and power of language. He has published in W 49, Rhubarb and The Dry Wells of India (Harbour Publishing, 1989).
